Tiffany - Headliner!
Visit Tiffany's MySpace PageTiffany began singing at an early age, but it wasn't the light pop style that she would eventually become known for. The young singer started performing country & western songs, eventually getting discovered by country music veterans Hoyt and Mae Axton during the early '80s, while performing at a country nightclub in Los Angeles. For the next few years, Tiffany appeared on TV (including an appearance on Ed McMahon's Star Search), continued to perform concerts (including opening a show for Jerry Lee Lewis and George Jones in Texas), and recorded several demos, in hope of landing a recording contract.
Tiffany's self-titled album debuted in early 1987.The album was promoted initially by a concert tour of U.S. malls, but it wasn't until later in the year that the album began to catch on with the young pop audience, when MTV and radio latched on to a cover of I Think We're Alone Now, which soon pushed the album to the number one spot on the Billboard album charts (and in less than year, was certified quadruple platinum). Tiffany set a record for the youngest female artist to top the Billboard charts with a debut album. A follow-up single, Could've Been, proved to be just as successful, as it peaked at the top spot of the Billboard singles chart. I Saw Him Standing There proved another major hit, peaking at number seven in the spring of 1988, as the singer gave the opening spot on a U.S. tour to a then-unknown band, the New Kids on the Block.
Tiffany's sophomore effort, 1988's Hold an Old Friend's Hand, was another hit (earning platinum certification) Despite her much lower profile, Tiffany continued to issue albums on a sporadic basis, including 1993's Dreams Never Die, 2000's The Color of Silence, and 2007's Just Me (while a collection, Greatest Hits, was released in 1996).
In May 2005, Tiffany released the album Dust Off And Dance independently through CDBaby (and later for download on iTunes). It was dedicated to her new husband, but recorded as a "Thank You" to her fans (particularly her gay and European fanbase) for reminding her about the fun to be had with her career, and it serves as a reminder of a lighter time when she could lose herself on the dance floor. The album consists of Eurodance and Hi-NRG style songs. The singles from Dust Off And Dance, such as Ride It, Fly, Be With U Tonite, Na Na Na, and Artificial Girlfriend. In late July 2008, a new Tiffany dance song titled Just Another Day was released on CD by perfectbeat, remixed by Dave Audé. The song is rumored to be from an upcoming dance album yet to be released by Tiffany also including another new song Tiffany has been performing live, Move Your Body.
In recent years, Tiffany has performed frequently at gay pride events. Although she is heterosexual, she is a strong supporter of gay rights.

Stonewall Veterans - PrideFest Unity Parade
Visit SVA web siteThe 2009 Central PA PrideFest Unity Parade will be headed by the STONEWALL Veterans Association. The SVA is an organization that positively and proudly represents gay, lesbian, bisexual, and trans gendered history and culture. The executive committee of the SVA consists exclusively of actual participants of the 1969 Stonewall Rebellion, the event that is considered to be the birth place of the modern day gay rights movement. The SVA will take their traditional place at the beginning of the parade being escorted by Bikers United and Silent Witness of Central PA. In June of 1969, the Stonewall Inn, located in Manhattan, was a place for the GLBT community to gather. It was the first place GLBT people, including many teenagers, could feel free to be who they were. The Stonewall was a place where people could dance with whomever they chose. Back in 1969, it was illegal for men to dance with other men. On June 27, 1969, the New York City Police Department raided the Stonewall bar looking for various violations of liquid laws and city ordinances, taking away the security of the GLBT community that had gathered at the bar. As result, there were five inconsecutive nights when the GLBT community and their supporters fought back. The protest signs read: “Gay People, Gay Power, Gay Unity, Gay Rights, Gay Marriage.” This event became a historical turning point, when the patrons of the Stonewall Inn decided they would no longer hide from society, instead, they demonstrated to the public that we are people and demanded their rights as human beings and American citizens.

Sister Beat
Visit Sister Beat's web site
Sister Beat, a six-member, all-women band, has been together a very short time. Originally formed as a three-piece ensemble, consisting of guitarist Mary Emelio, drummer Jody Echterling, and vocalist Cathy Nelson, to play for a fund raising concert in January of 2008 under the name Wing It, the band grew to four members that night. Bassist Amy Shestack sat in as the band played late into the evening. By the next rehearsal, Wing It had grown to six members, with the addition of guitarist Becky Mohr and bassist Vickie Poole, and changed its name to Sister Beat. Jamming on rock, blues, and original tunes, Sister Beat presents its love of all things music in a unique, funky and upbeat style.
